For the Metropolitan West side from Sydney, their results have placed them comfortably on the top of Pool A.
NSW Rugby Development Officer for Western Sydney, Stephen O’Brien was looking forward to the side taking some big strides in the 2016 JGC.
“We have been following these kids for a while and they have been involved in the pathway for a long time now.
“The coaches have followed them through which is really good to build that cohesion and camaraderie that good teams have.
“The work the coaches have done with these teams has been exceptional and I can’t stress that enough.
“They have been playing together for a couple of years now and certainly deserve the success they are enjoying.
“To play regular Rugby, which all these kids pretty much do now for either school or club and then building into this pathway where they get skill development and the competition.
“We are starting to see the benefit of this now, three years into the competition.
“The Met West have a bit of flair and X factor to get them over the line. It’ll be an exciting clash with this week’s game in Orange against Western Province.
“Both sides would have been playing Pathways Rugby against each other for a couple of years, so I am sure the Rugby will be of an excellent standard.”
